Owner/Operator Glenn is a Culinary Institute of America graduated Chef who has worked in our Family’s and Uncles Deli since 13 yrs old. Upon graduating CIA Glenn travelled to Munich, Germany to apprentice as a Commis de Cuisine at five star Hotel Bayerisher Hof. Glenn next worked a summer season as a Chef de Partie at Hotel Alte Post in Davos, Switzerland and followed that up as Chef de Garde at five star Hotel Kulm in St. Moritz Switzerland for the winter season of 1985. Upon returning to the States, Glenn became a Sous-Chef at the Plaza Hotel in NYC, Executive Sous-Chef at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in NYC, Restaurant Chef at the Sheraton Centre Hotel in NYC and finished as Executive Chef of the new Cornell Club in NYC. Glenn headed south with his newlywed wife to NC to renovate a historic Inn called the Jefferson Inn. After three years at the Inn, Glenn, his wife and newborn son headed further south to Florida where Glenn worked for Disney and Wolfgang Puck. Glenn took a slight deviation from cooking food to selling food and worked in street sales for Sysco for fourteen years until 2015. Glenn went back to his culinary roots and launched a local Asheville food truck in August of 2015 called FoodStop.
Glenn is still going strong thanks to appreciative customers and looks forward to many more years of operating FoodStop.
